Need all four front bumper override covers(4). Any suggestions of where to buy them. Thanks
Received two of these as a christmas present from my loving family, purchased from jaguarclassicparts (HJE6505AC, which might be yours too). They have been having discounting periods recently. That one was 20% off a 106 GBP no VAT price (no VAT to the US, so about $116 each to them + shipping). Not cheap, but better than full price with VAT. I have seen these new on ebay for slightly less occasionally, and much less for ones with holes in them...
As an aside, the new fir tree connectors that jaguarclassicparts sells for these will never ever go into the holes where they are intended on my car. I ended up putting the old ones back. Took about 20 minutes to fail to install one new one. Took seconds to reinstall all the old ones once I made that decision.
The 2005 Jaguar XK8 (X-100) does not have Bumper-etttes (Buck Teeth).....Number 14 in the Parts Catalogue shown above.....Look over the Parts shown to determine which part you need...... I'm not sure but I think they were last used on the 2003 Year Model.

Still there on the 2005 but not as obvious as on the earlier 4.0. My 2001 XK8 4.0 on the right and 2005 Final Series XK8 4.2-S on the left:
Mostly hidden by the standard UK size registration plate bracket on the later car.
Mine is an 2005 XKR not an XK8, I have never physically seen an 2005 or an 2006 XK8....That's a great Photo of the two Coupes but I still don't see the Bumperettes, as you call them, on the 2005 XK8......My 1998 XK8, 2000 XKR and 2003 XKR all had them but I've never seen them on a 2005 or 2006 XK8.....I appreciate the Photo of your XK8-4.2-S as it is certainly a beautiful X-100, but I still don't see any Bumperettes! Sorry! You know I'll take you word for it!

YES - Overrider Covers
On the 2005 4.2 the horizontal chrome splitter is inset into the covers. On the earlier 4.0 the covers are over the splitter.
..... Is this your old X-100? The one you mentioned several years ago? XK8-4.2-S? It's really good looking.....
Billy,
YES - I traded it in 2013 for a 2007 XK which has since also been replaced. A newbie found it for sale again on the south coast of England in late 2016 and sent me this photo. It was still looking good:
The 4.2-S Final Series is the RoW equivalent of the US Victory Edition. All the options included in the specification.
Same bus, different seat. I recently started to tidy up the front of my new toy and found the plastic covers for the bumper over-riders were intact but quite badly scuffed in several places, so I decided to remove and repaint them. The main bumper cover came off quite quickly and easily but the grille and over-rider covers....not so much. After skinning both knuckles fighting and destroying the age hardened fir tree clips that hold the grille and over rider covers to the bumper, I decided there was a better way, and replaced them all with M6 stainless socket screws into Rivnuts. With the plastic covers finally in hand, sanded and prepped, the question for the Forum is; what is the name or code for the metallic dark gray/anthracite paint that seems to be universal to all covers on XK8/R's of the era, irrespective of body colour. I've searched all over without success so, before winging it by eye at the Duplicolor rattle can rack I thought I'd ask you folk?

Excellent solution on the fasteners. I managed to remove the fir tree connectors intact, thankfully. Because the new ones ordered from jagclassicparts wouldn't go into the holes over 20 minutes of trying with various more and more serious implements for love nor money.
Put the old fir tree connectors back in seconds. Yours seems like a good solution if there is a next time.
