Front oil hose replacements etc?
I've had occasional small leaks from the hoses that go into and out of the front radiator. Jag shop called it "seepage" and said to just live with it but check the oil level. Recently the leaks seem to be consistent, especially on passenger side.
Any suggestions for replacements besides OEM? Any other work that should be done at that point by the mechanic?

Might check out the Parker Store: ParkerStore
The normally have hydraulic hose fabrication and can make just about anything.
Haven't had to replace the oil cooler hoses yet but they did a nice job on some hoses for a different project.

One solution is to cut off the crimp ferrules and then use conventional worm drive hose clamps with some fresh transmission oil cooler hose. It is economical, it usually does the trick, but it is a bit of work.
This UK company has some of them (confirm your part numbers/VIN numbers) at a fairly deep discount: GROWLER JAGUAR PARTS - XK8 & XK. Scroll way down to find them.

I made my own, a lot cheaper, I had to replace the cooler and £30 was much better than £200 which was the main reason for the hoses as the OE items would no longer fit with those terrible block connections
Cool. Braided steel lines look so much better.
Are the two cooling rads separate for engine and transmission oil.
Radiator now handles only coolant?
Looking at your Mods is making my wallet shiver.
More pictures please.

Yes that is correct........ Everyone is so concerned with keeping the intake temperature down, with both pulleys done I was also concerned to help keep the engine temp down too.
I used a 3" aluminium radiator from an Evo as the main pipes were roughly in the same place and size was close, still needed playing with but only cost £150 ($225) instead of £600 ($900) to get one made, I then ditched the fan pack and put a pair of the largest fans in I could, seperated the supercharger from the main water supply as well...... Stroked it to a 4.2 as well

I run a standard thermostat 84*........
Separating the system is easy enough, you will need a much stronger pump, the Mercedes one does the job, also another tank to hold extra water, I also made my own header tank which also acts as a cover for the original header.....
I will have to take some pictures when it is all back together again....
I am unsure as to the "knob" you are referring to
