I have a 2002 (MY2003) XKR, and after checking fault codes with my Foxwell OBD reader, I had a fault code come up with "B1410 Front Refrigerant control valve". I assume it is part of the Climate control, if I am right I am still not sure what it is trying to tell me. I have looked through the list of fault codes but am unable to find B1410.


Any help would be much appreciated

 

Your reader is telling you porkies.

As you note, Jaguar doesn't list B1410 for the 4.2L, & most I find for that DTC is 'Driver power window motor circuit failure'

Could it be misreporting a P1410 - as that's specific to the 4.2L supercharged?

 

Thanks for the reply, the car is supercharged but I think you may be correct. This is a print out of the fault codes and text, as you can see it also had a P1410, so as you say maybe it got a bit confused with the B1410 code.

P0037 Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater control circuit low (bank 1 sensor 2)
P0480 Cooling fan 1 control circuit
P1410 Air cleaner inlet control circuit
P1582 Flight recorder data is stored
B1410 Front refrigerant control valve

I will try it again later and see if it disappears, if not I will undertake a reset and see how that goes.
