Front shock mount replacement and electronic shocks
My 2003 XK8 all of a sudden is 1/4” lower on the front driver side. I assume it’s the shock mount since I can see debris from it around the shock stud. I watched the utube video and it looks pretty straight forward to replace them. I was thinking I should replace the shocks while it’s apart but was wondering if I have electronic shocks and how to tell. There are no wires attached to the top stud so I’m assuming they are standard. Any input would be appreciated.

Yes, Wayne/baxtor mounts are the way to go. Personally, if the shocks are still good, I wouldn’t bother changing. Check the bottom mount hasn’t rusted into the shock. If you do change the shock, you will likely run into bother with your white spring packer falling apart. Keep the bits and glue/silicon them back in, as you won’t find the correct tapered replacement is available.

Agree with keeping the white spring packer. Mine broke apart when upgrading with Wayne’s mounts. I epoxied them and they came out perfect.
