Default Fuel Injector Cleaning Question...

Hey all! Anyone out there know if a Wynns Fuel Injector cleaning treatment recommended by my dealer ($190.00) is worth the money? I`ve got a 2003 XKR with 40,000 miles. Thanks...

I paid it. But was it worth it, I could not say but it did seem to be quicker. That is probably because I was $190.00 lighter.

First of all I do not do everything the dealer suggests I do. If I think I have a problem with the injectors I add a can of BG’s 44K and all is well again. You have other products that will work but BG is my preference for $20.00.

Default injector cleaning

i just got my injectors back from http://www.injectorrx.com/

looks like it was worth every cent. half my injectors were 10% or more below optimal flow rate.
They turned them around fast and were really easy to deal with.

i do not have them installed yet as i am waiting for my cometics multi layered steal head gaskets to arrive and i can then put her back together.

I am not a big fan of fixing my car with a can. Unlike some motors where the fuel rails are buried under a plenum; the injectors are right on top of the engine. Why not just pull them and have them cleaned and calibrated?

Personally I've had great results with Sea Foam.

My car displayed emission leak codes when I used Sea Foam. I do use Sea Foam in my RX-8 and two boats with good results, but the XKR doesen't like it.
