Default Fuel Injector Connectors

The good news is that I have never needed to mess with the fuel injectors in the 15 years I've had the car. Until now.
Actually, all I need to do is disconnect the electrical connectors so that I can remove the intake manifold so that I can replace the original coolant hoses underneath.
I figure that 19 years of service is enough to ask of a rubber hose.
I don't see any obvious locking mechanism on the injector connectors but they must have one.
I figure that these connectors are fragile so I don't want to use unnecessary force and there must be lots of people on here who have removed them, so..
How do I unlock/remove the fuel injector connectors on a 2001 XK8?

there is a metal somewhat u-shaped clip - I used a pair of needle nose pliers - just pull toward you (it doesn't have to come completely off) - just pull back about 1/4inch to release, then you can lift the injector off

I don't want to remove the injector, just the electrical connector for the injector.
Is this clip for the electrical connector, and is it on the top, bottom, front, back, or what? Where am I looking for it?
Can you provide a photo?

I will see if I can get a pic but it is toward the bottom of the connector - there is a recessed groove that the clip fits in. I did find an old thread with this pic of the clip

Thanks.
That is the clip.
As is usually the case with me, when I walk away and return later the problem practically solves itself. I saw the metal clips on the bottoms of the connectors. I don't know why I didn't see them earlier, maybe the light wasn't shining just right. Anyway, I grabbed them with needle nose pliers and pulled them down. I had all of them off in a few minutes.
I noticed that the same or similar clip is on the electrical connector at the brake fluid reservoir. I guess that's the low level switch connector.
I quickly saw that the fuel injector connectors and harness come off as an assembly.
The manual instructions don't say that and for this job I'm less than pleased with the manual due to the lack of useful information. It's more of a checklist than instructions, like Chilton used to be.
