Default Full load breather hose

Hi there.

does anyone know if the O rings are available separately or is it a new hose?

or can I just buy a set of o rings and hope one fits? If so any recommendations for a set?

thanks

Last month DavidYau reported that a shop that maintains classics recommended the use of HNBR o-rings. You can buy assortments from many sources.

HBNR is hydrogenated nitrile rubber. These O rings are used in the HVAC industry (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning). Material technology moves with the times.

Not a lot of history of usage of HBNR in the automobile trade, but these are typically 2x the cost of rubber .... so read in that what you will.

O rings are cheap, and the full load breather is easily accessible, so I really don’t think it particularly matters in your case. If it leaks, just replace it - 2 minute job. I would recommend you don’t use one from a domestic supplier ie from a Walmart, Costco set. These won’t stand the temperatures in the engine bay.
