Default Gasket installation question

So it turns out I have an air leak in my 2000 xkr. I narrowed it down to the intake where the intake elbow mates with the supercharger. I replaced the gasket, as well as the bypass elbow o-ring and as well as the throttlebody, egr, gaskets. Turns out, the problem is still there, and the leak is in the same area as before, right where the intake mates with the supercharger. Jag did a really lousy job with the gasket design on this car. What do I have to do, silicon this thing to death so there are no more air leaks? Anyone else have similar problems? Or tips on how that gasket should be installed?

Jim
