Default Headlight Horizontal Alignment - 2002 XKR

My headlights were aimed so low that I wondered about the extensive front suspension maintenance the previous own claimed to have had done.

I combed the forums and found how easy it is to adjust vertical headlight alignment in a thread from 2009. What I cannot find in forums or manuals is where to look for the adjustment for horizontal alignment. (These are standard projector low (dipped) beams, not HID.)

Much obliged for any help!

I conclude that the dead silence means...
1) This cannot be done
2) No one actually knows how (most unlikely unless #1 is true)
3) I have used up my quota of "newbie" questions...

When you say aimed so low, I think vertical adjustment. Do you need to point them left right along the horizontal ?

Here's what I found on my 98:
Yes there is a separate horz adjustment, I never used it.

Low and high beam adjustments are inseparable. They adjust together for vertical. You are stuck maximizing both, not a perfect set up for my low beam coverage. I did spend the $50 for those "extra" bright lights - waste of money. Barely discern the difference.

Different years have different lights, so I can not add any more for your 2002.

You understood correctly. The vertical was easy, but I need to move them to the left. Can you tell me where to look for the horizontal adjestment?

Thanks

Thanks, John! I had read that thread, but it appears to pertain to X150 but not X100. Have you found the adjustment as they described on your '98 XK8?

Oh darn I didn't realize it was a 150. I never tried to adjust horz on mine sorry. I do recall seeing instructions for it I'll take a look in my documents later. Hope I can find it. John

Hi.

Different lamps for different model years and markets make this very confusing.
Maybe the following attachment can help you.

BINGO!

Thanks, Oyster! I was able to get to the adjustment screw on the left side. There seems to be a dull white cylindrical plastic cover over the whole adjustment assembly on the right side, but now I know what I'm trying to access. You've given me exactly what I needed. This forum is amazing...
