help with restricted performance issue
I googled p1262 for Jaguar and it stated "cyl No. 2 high to low side short" It could mean faulty fuel injector, loose or dirty fuel injector connection, or shorted fuel injector. I would first check to see if it's actually connected and then clean the contacts.
The code man! The code! (Seinfeld reference
)
I am having the same problem but mine is an XKR. Mechanic said it is more rare for the super charger but that was just over the phone. Guess I will leave it with him since I wouldnt have a clue how to check/clean, etc anything in that engine.

(Oops. I posted this before reading that you DID get a code. Well, the info may help you anyway. Another direction to look.)
Without having a code to give us a place to start, it is just a crap shoot. The port is easy to see under the dash. I have had a P0171 (lean) code, and restricted performance light happen. The MAF was reading incorrectly. I also have this situation which may be contributing to the overall issue: In my situation, the intake seals need to be replaced; pretty common on a high miler. (runs a tiny bit rough on cold start, enough to cause misfire codes once in awhile). The MAF needed cleaning. The books will tell you not to clean the sensor. BS. Spray the sensor window with some carb spray, and give it a try. Worst case scenario is buy a new MAF. This is all great.... IF.... your code is a P0171!

I am having a similar problem since I changed my Spark Plugs.
I have swapped coil packs 1 and 3 but still same codes (pointing to Cylinder 1). I was hoping the code woudl change to coil pack 3
I added Sea Foam injector Cleaner and for a few days it was okay but I have RP again and rough idle when cold.
When restarting the engine when normal running temp, everything is okay
Any ideas
I cant remember my signature so:
2004 XK8
93,700 miles
4.2 litre engine

I would now swap the plug and see what takes place. I should mention that you should look at the plug to see if it is damaged when you pull it.
