I have a new to me convertible XK8 early engine build, I am doing the whole chain tensioner & guide preventative service. I ordered the premium kit from SNG Barratt I received the kit but the curved guides are too long and the flat guides are also long and "backwards" in terms of the bolt hole vs. the slot. I supplied the engine number (9612021196) but they can's seem to figure this out. Can anyone help, I am running out of good weather

hard to tell but the new one (bottom) is longer

new guides are longer and bolt hole vs slot are reversed

 

You're not the first to fall foul of this, and SNG should be well aware of the difference as they can supply the correct ones...
