Fun fact for the day. I discovered something recently. If your car has the factory phone and you modify it with the bluetooth module, you can sort of simulate CarPlay. The Maps app on an Iphone can be set to play through bluetooth and will interrupt the radio with directions just as it does on a newer car with CarPlay. If you have the nav system displaying, it's pretty close. Also, Siri will listen to commands through the car microphone but you do have to hold down the side button.
