I've been thinking about changing out the stock alternator for a high amp model. The final stages of my restoration project is going to include for a serious stereo so I'm of the opinion I will need the high amp alternator in order to get past some of the issues I have read on the forum about undercharged batteries. I specifically found this supplier on ebay that is willing to provide me one for my model year. High Amp Alternator 2009 2008 2003 Jaguar XKR 2006 2005 2004 03 Jaguar XK8 4 2L | eBay any thoughts out there on a 200 amp alternator? Does it possibly introduce a problem?

 

look up eagle auto electric on ebay. I got a 200 amp alternator for my xkr cheaper than that price. Been in the car for a year. Not one problem
