Recently when I lower convertible top display shows hood not latched. If I close top error message goes away

 

open them at the same time, really confuse the car.

 

Is the top (hood) opening fully, do you hear the ding?

I don't know what came over me. Completely forgot the correct lingo. Bonnet, hood, and boot

 

This issue happens to mine, however I manually raise and lower top. I found that using an Allan Wrench you can re-raise the top latch assembly and then immediately lower it. This clears the warning on mine.
My issue is "hood not latched" RED warning comes on when top is down. I know its not latched because it is down, so I just ignore the warning. "Hood" is top in Brit lingo.

 

Lowered top. Oiled real good. Let up and down a couple of times. Worked like a charm and no hood unlatched light. Thanks to all who replied and got me in the right direction
