Default How do you adjust the throttle stop?

Long story short, took a reman TB from ASI to my ex-mechanic. Put on TB and adjusted the TPS and throttle stop to get it to run (barely). So Saturday, I did some digging in the problem and figured out the guy did not do a hard reset, so I did that and now the car runs much better but idles at 1,400 rpm's in gear.

So how do I adjust the throttle stop to lower the RPM's?

After a hard reset the idle will be high for a short time while the ECU relearns. Did you try to drive it? It should settle down after a few minutes. If not I would contact ASI.

Yes, I drove it three times and rpm's are not coming down.

You adjusted the TPS? It should be set correctly on both an OE replacement or a remanufactured TB.

Before concluding an issue with the TB, check for air leaks on the inlet trunk and that the TB butterfly closes properly.

Also ensure the throttle cable is correctly refitted to the black bracket on the TB (circled) and the return spring assembly (arrowed).
