How to remove xkr mesh grille and clean ?

Default How to remove xkr mesh grille and clean ?

Hello quick question ,how do I remove the mesh grill ..It has gotten extremely dirty and has lost its shine .i want to remove it and bring its shine back any tips would be great ..thanks

Removing the grille is in the JTIS, but it includes removing the front bumper. I believe some of the forum members have switched out the XK8 grille for the XKR without removing the bumper but you'll have to have one of them chime in.

You don't need to remove the front bumper - or at least I didn't. Maybe it depends on the year, but on my 2005 you just unscrew the 4 visible screws and it pops out. I painted mine satin black.

Frog, can't you just once post a pic with some mud spatters on your car and a couple of dandelions in the grass?

Hehe, there are some dead leaves on the yard, if you look carefully

not sure on your cars, but for the XF, you have to remove the front bumper, but I have found that a hand held steam cleaner and an air compressor cleans the grille very well. TC

Soft brush and degreaser, mild soap, rinse, then followed by a wipedown with the 'mist-spray wax,' you know, the quicky shine products.
