Default HVAC button replacement?

Hi All,

Are there service part numbers for the "up/warmer" and "down/cooler" arrows on the HVAC unit? It looks like the paint on the down cooler button is starting to come off.

I am not even sure if removing them is possible without breaking the unit.

Thanks!

Why not try repainting them first? You have nothing to lose by doing so....

I touched mine up. Apparently the previous baboon was always punching the temp buttons up and down - not the way the climate control is supposed to work.

I am not the biggest fan of paining. I would rather replace the individual buttons, if possible.

Back last yr when my AC controller died, I anticipated that it might be the display unit with these buttons. Good news, used ones were available for about $25.

Maybe check ebay, that's where I went. Either way you will have to remove the display from the console to get to the buttons. Having a spare on hand will be a great source or backup.

FYI when you do the job, anticipate that the black plastic framing which centers and secures the unit is fragile as an eggshell by now. It can't wait to crack on you.
