Default Luggage compartment button not working

The luggage compartment button has stopped working. I don't think its the valet switchThe trunk opens with the transmitter.
I looked for a fuze that operates the button but didn't find one.

Any advice

Gary

I don't think the trunk release button works if you are not in park. Just a thought.....

Gary... Did you find a fix for the luggage compartment button? Was it the button itself?

It is easy to replace. But does it open from the switch on dash or not. Is it just the button on trunk lid that is inop?

Hey

I am backwas in Portugal last weekon business. The release button on the remote and dash works fine. It is only the micro switch on the trunk that is not operating. I have the part number and received a quote of ~$31.00 plus shipping.

Guess I will go ahead and order the micro switch.

Stumbled on this ancient thread. The button on my 2005 XKR has been fidgety lately and today did not work at all. I can still open the trunk (boot) using my key fob or the button inside the car. So how hard is it to fix the switch or how to get a replacement?

Thanks.
