The PO must have been incandescent when that happened. Do we know if the kid survived?

Told me revving in park. I thought the same thing about the limiter.
Even when limited to 3,000 rpm, revving a cold engine, which I suspect was the case, will usually end badly for the engine, and the kid,
Lubrication is minimal, or less if that痴 possible.
