Default I forget - Which suspension parts only should be tightened with live weight?

Hi guys,

This afternoon I was replacing the rear suspension links and I recalled that there are certain suspension bolts that Jaguar directed us to tighten only when the part is under live weight (no jacks taking pressure off it). Nothing urgent but I wanted to reach out and see if any of you recall which ones these are?

Thanks,

John

Any bushing that flexes when in motion would be a candidate for that.
"A" arms and rear shock bushings come to mind.

Place a trolley jack with a piece of wood underneath the centre 'hat' of the brake disc and raise the suspension to its normal operating height prior to tightening any of the bolts on the arms or bushes that have been replaced.
