I have seen photos of the red portfolio before but not the blue one. Whether you care for the interior or not, you have to give any portfolio model points on rarity. Not only that, but this car has pretty low mileage and looks to be in really pristine condition. I would consider it if I were in the market.

It does make me draw a breath, but isn't really bad. But you have to consider that it fosters diverging opinions. I'm not familiar with details of portfolio edition and why it might be more desirable, but do you really want a car where you have to qualify why "it's so beautiful, even with that interior"?

I love the Recaro seats... but I don't like the color combo. Then again, I already got the exact XKR I wanted, if that's what you like then go for it.

+1

Just shop around until you find exactly what YOU want. The later cars were all built in such low volumes that any specific color combination could be considered as or more rare than some of the various "limited" editions. If I'm not mistaken over half of the 2006 models were "Victory Edition" models, making the standard versions more scarce.

One more thing, don't buy any car with the BBS alloys (that the portfolio sports...L-O-V-E them BTW) that are a little 'scuffed' already, being told (or thinking) you can just get them replaced or repaired...nearly impossible and hundreds of dollars per wheel IF you can find the trim rings and someone willing to do it.

Personally the Portfolio interior is a bit too busy for me. It reminds me of a wetsuit for some reason. the Blue does not look right with woodgrain in my opinion. I LOVE that exterior paint color though.

And as was mentioned about the wheels, if you happen to damage part of that low production interior or a special emblem or something, it will be nearly impossible to replace.

There was a Blue Portfolio exactly like that one for same near me last year for $25k. It caught my eye, and I read up on them a little bit just because I had not seen one before, and had first thought that someone had KustomiZed the poor XK8.
