Default Induction hose

Think I've found the reason for my 2004 XKR running lean with Restricted Performance

The heat matt underneath it had deteriorated and it appears to have made the plastic hard and brittle

Any ideas where i can get a new / good replacement from for less than £230?

You might be able to repair that.

Is that part of the induction system under pressure? If not, duct tape will fix that (at least, temporarily)

If you tape it make sure there's not the slightest air leak (if that leak's post-MAF).

Going to get a silicone elbow and try and force that over, seal it both ends with a Jubilee - think that'll be best and cheapest solution. Thanks for all offers and solutions 👍

taken it off today and it looks by silicone 90 won't work as it's a 180 tight bend. Going to order a couple up and try duct taping them on, just so that I can get to the Jaguar Spares day in Malvern next weekend. Definitely heat related as the plastic is very brittle in the hole area - no sign of rodent teeth marks thank ****. Wondering if the heat pad got dislodged at some point .......

Why not upgrade to an aluminum pipe instead? Mina Gallery makes one that you can buy for about $185.00. Solves the problem forever.

I'm in the UK, can't find anything similar here

any change in performance? my plastic one has, what I assume are, resonate chambers, 4 in total in different positions, lengths and angles. these are only on the supercharged, must be for a reason surely?

You hear more indiction noise and supercharger whine under heavy acceleration. It’s intoxicating. There’s no appreciable change in performance. You could try checking an exhaust shop can make you one from titanium or aluminum.
