Default Installed Mina Air Intake

Looks great and sounds better than original IMO. Took it for a 3 hour drive no codes. Performance is equal to or better than original.

No installation instructions so this is my best guess for PVC hose routing. Seems like an awkward way to do it. If I have done it wrong someone let me know.

I installed this Mina Gallery kit on my wife's 2006 XK8 this past Saturday afternoon. I like it very much primarily because it permanently eliminates the lousy OEM plastic accordion-pleated intake duct. Perhaps it allows more throttle response but I have no proof of that yet after about 50 miles of testing. One difference from your XKR is that her XK8 has a factory plastic engine dust cover that screws down on top of the engine. Thus far I have not found a viable route underneath the dust cover for the kit's new crossover breather hose that will allow the dust cover to be properly screwed down, so right now that hose is routed over the top of the dust cover. If anyone has found a viable route underneath the dust cover, please speak up....

I wish they made one that matched the finish of the rest of the engine topside.

funracer,
Looks great to me. What did you do about this connector above the Throttle Body? Is that electrical or hose?

I removed it. It’s a breather hose.

Me too. I discovered that Jaguar themselves coated their metal intake with the same finish on their 1998 XK180 concept car. It's probably Enamel but what color code?

That car was upgraded to 450 BHP and the deletion of intake silencers made the Supercharger whine clearly audible - see this vid
