Default Installing DRL module location

I am getting ready to install a DRL PWM module. Where would be the best mounting location to make all my connections? The outputs connect to the high beams.

You can get them from the fuse box in the engine bay (opposite side to the airbox) and also from the wiring to the back of the headlamps. That was the easiest route for me. I planted the control box behind the bumper where the alarm sounder is (near where the airbox itself is)

Are you adding lights or just want the front fog lights on during the day?

I added a switch to the fog light relay so I can turn them on without the headlights. Works great, I put the switch in the vent plug beside the valet switch. When it's on the little light on the regular fog light switch comes on as well as the fog lights. Fog lights still turn off with the high beams so it's legal. All you have to do is switch the ground side of the fog light relay.

This module will provide a voltage output of 30% so the bulbs will run dimmer and switches on and off depending on the dim lights and high beam setting.

My understanding is that Jaguar built all X100s with DRL capability, as DRLs are mandatory in Canada. All it took to activate DRLs on my '99 U.S. XK8 was for my independent Jag mechanic to do a quick DRL programming change with his diagnostic computer from U.S. to Canada (I think a 3rd setting is for Sweden). 10-min. job for which he charged me $30. Any reputable shop should do the same for a reasonable rate.
