Default Instrument Cluster Inop / Car will not shift out of park

Here's my issue...car starts right up, instrument cluster is not working, oil pressure and battery charge not working (clock is working), the car will also not come out of park. I drove the car yesterday with no issues / warning lights. The only error code that is coming up is on the climate control display (#14, but this is linked to instrument cluster output), If anyone has any ideas...

thanks

The instrument cluster is the hub of all communications, and perhaps its computer crashed. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 10 seconds and reconnect it to reset the system.

Great!!

If it recurs, check your battery. Also check the primary power connections at the battery, the two high power fuses connections behind the spare tire well, and the primary power feed connectons to each fusebox. Sometime the bolts holding down these power connections work loose.

I was meaning posting an Intro about yourself in the New member Area section ( New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum ) and not forum registration.

Are you trying to add pics to a post here or to your forum user profile?
