I would like to change the seats of my 2001/XK8 to those from an XKR.

Is this problematic regarding possible registration of sidearibags and other electronic devices in the seat?

The seat control modules located under the seat are not a part of the CAN BUS and do not need to be programmed to the vehicle. Not knowing what year XKR you are getting the seats from so I don't know if it makes a difference. You need to verify that the connectors are matching to the XK8. If the plugs are the same I would use the modules from the existing seats with the new seats.

are identical if uses module from existing seats? Some are 2 way some 3 or 4 way. Some have heater.maybe he should use modules from new seat in new seat? What do you think?
