Default Introduction my first Jag and me

Goodday people with taste!
I searched for an introduction part on this forum but didn`t find one so here I am.
Alexander Hamm 40 years of age and Volvo lover. I still own a C70 covertible and a Volvo S80 T6, but I was in desperate need of a Smart V8. I didn`t want to dump my T6 in a trade for a S80 V8 and had a life long dream of owning the last real bloodline of the E-type. Therefore I chose the XKR. Fianally I found me a wonderfull car with complete history in pretty good order. Next maintenance should be in 2000 km, but I started immediately. Yes... the squeeking belt horror, sparcplugs oil etc.. But What a wonderfull automobile it is. I love it. Didn`t drive my T6 since I bought the XKR.
Some pics:

When possible I`ll try to give usefull feedback.
Any other Dutch people here?

Very nice wood on the dash, and a three gauge panel. Most of the XKR's on this side of the pond have a worthless satnav unit in the middle.

Wow lovely car, colour and interior. Love the dash, great grain on the wood. Each walnut dash is unique cut from the same single piece of wood veneered over the 3 panels. The grain and knots will always match across the dashboard if its original. You have a great looking car there. Love the wheels too. Welcome to the forum

Welcome aboard! And absolutely the best color! (and by the way, after having 3 Volvos in the mid-1980's, I swore, "NEVER AGAIN!" If you think Jaguars are labor intensive, you've never owned a Volvo, the three worst automobiles we ever owned, 244GL, 740, 740 Turbo)

Enjoy that beautiful looking coupe.

Hello Dutchjag!

not from the netherlands, but nearby :-)

You got a really nice car - a 4.0l i think. How many km? Do you know, what the switch on the left of the gear-selector is for?

greetings Wolf

Welcome to the forum! What a great looking car both inside and out. The grain on the dash is really striking.

It`s a supercharger ... so many buttons... the Valet-button is the biggest surprise... probably it`s in the manual... wich one do you mean? 190.000KM dealer maintenance...I`m loving it!

It has a little bit of Carin Navigation left... that "button" is a connector I have to take out... Moving slowly... have to get to know the car first....
