Default Jaguars at Gaydon

Apologies, I did try this in the UK/Eire regional, but it's like

in there.

Anyone planning on attending this event on the 4th September?

25 years of the X100, 120th anniversary of William Lyons' birthday, etc.

Hopefully the UK covid scene will have calmed down by then so we don't have to isolate on return...

Mike

Sounds like fun. Been trying to get to the UK since the crazytimes for work. Unfortunately, the 5-10 day quarantine and associated downstream restrictions are off-putting for us amber/red types...

Hi Michael,

I’ll be there - tickets booked as soon as they went on sale. Peter at the Jaguar Breakfast Club anticipates high demand and I’ve heard that it’s possible up to 1,400 vehicles might be in attendance! I would suggest not leaving it too late to book in that case as they are talking about closing ticket sales once capacity has been reached.

I’m going to be there as part of John Dee’s YouTube ‘To The Garage’ subscribers group and this will be our first ‘real’ get together. Think that I’m more excited about this than the JEC meet at the weekend. Hope to see you there (wear a pink carnation&#128521.

I'm hoping to be there, assuming the weather is good and the car has all four wheels by then!

Thanks, Gerard.
I spoke to someone in Enquiries yesterday, and was advised against entering as an exhibitor unless staying for the whole day. Plus I'd need to arrive early to be in place for the 09:30 kick off.

Looks like the boat sailings will work, so my son & I will be there.

Well, I'm already in Oxfordshire having come down yesterday for this event. I'm therefore definitely exhibiting same equally sure that I WILL be leaving before 4pm.
By contrast, had a lovely time at Gaydon this afternoon. Staff couldn't have been more helpful send friendly and the exhibits were amazing. Thoroughly recommended.

D'oh - just revisited this post and realised it's the September chat and not the JEC Festival tomorrow at Bicester one!
Anyway, comments still stand re both the Gaydon experience today and the event in September.

My daughter went to Warwick Uni, close to Gaydon, so easy to swing by. The museum is definitely worth a visit.

I hope the Bicester event went well.

Hi,

There is a small convoy of XK8 cars starting from Malvern in Worcestershire. Part of the XKEC. We hope to get there at 0930. Should be a great day.
