Default Jb weld a leaky pulsation dampener?

I have the leaky pulsation dampener on my fuel rail. It is coming out of the top. Why could I not just clean it up well and apply jb weld on the top of the dampener or the like to stop the leaking. As I am to understand the gas is just getting past the o-ring and coming out the top.

Not sure if JB Weld will hold up with gas but I'd be more inclined to want to solder it closed if it can be reached with a high wattage iron. It would never leak after that. I'd pull the fuel pump relay and start the car to use the gas in the rails first though the iron shouldn't get it hot enough to ignite the gas anyways.

I find it hard to think that there is nothing avail that will seal this and the gas would not eat it away.
