Default JTIS for a 2006 XK8....

My JTIS CD covers through the 2004 model year for all Jaguar models at that time. It has been very helpful to me when working on our 2005 S-Type, although there are a few minor differences between the 2004 and 2005 S-Types....

What known differences exist between the 2004 and 2006 XK8s that are not addressed by JTIS? One difference I have already noticed is JTIS states that the 4.2 normally-aspirated V8 holds 6.8 quarts of motor oil. My 2006 XK8 owners manual states that the 4.2 normally-aspirated V8 holds 8.2 quarts, a significant difference....

Any feedback on how accurate JTIS is for our 2006 XK8 would be much appreciated....

Hi
I just did a search on Ebay for 2006 XK series repair manual and found ebayer iguide has created one in a PDF file. It covers 2006-2012 XK & XKR model series for $30. (free shipping). I am not sure if this is a CD or a file download. It only says free economy shipping???

I have no personal and business relationship with this ebayer.

Here is the weblink to the Ebay listing:

2006-2012 JAGUAR XK XKR (X150) Coupé + Convertible Workshop Service Manual | eBay

I am just trying to provide resource information.

Jim Jon has a X100, I guess there was an overlap in 2006.

Hi Norri
I did not realize that Jaguar offered both XK series model X100 & X150 in the model year 2006.
But apparently they did. Topix XK selections has for 2006 XK (X100) and the 2006 XK (X150).

Who can figure out why? Maybe just wanted an early model change?

I think the new generation body came out in the UK in 2006 but in the US in 2007.

Our car was built in May 2005 and sold as a 2006 model on June 30, 2005 in Los Angeles. I assume Jaguar began building the 2007 models for the US market in late 2005 / early 2006. Just speculation on my part....
