I tested putting JTIS21 XK model series data folder on my wife's XP 32 bit networked desktop and putting JTIS21 S_type achive downloaded and installed on my XP 32 bit networked desktop.

I changed the path statements in the jjtis.ini (windows folder on my desktop) to the path newly mapped Z drive (my wife's pc JTIS21 XK data folder).

Now I run the JTIS21 on my desktop PC and it accesses the JTIS21 XK data on the my wife PC.

There is a good reason to do this. If I download one of the JTIS21 model series on to my desktop and download the other one JTIS21 model series to my wife's desktop, I am using less disk space than having both downloads on the same PC.

Also I could just installed the entire JTIS21 on one XP PC and access it from another XP PC with just the JTIS21 viewer portion on it (C:/Jaguar folder - about 6 megs).

This should also work on 2 networked Win7 PCs both with same 32 bit or 64 bit operating system.

I feel like such a dinosaur. I understood less than 10 % of what you posted.

 

I got the part about more than one computer and a Jaguar data file...not sure if I beat you or not!

Number 1 this post is in the wrong section (XK/XKR 2006- Onwards) should be in XK8/XKR 1996-2006 section.

Maybe I was being too technical on the details but it does work.

I also put the JTIS21 on a 4GB SD Memory Card that I usually use in our digital camera. See the new thread I started in the S-Type section:
