Default Key Fob and Transponder

For my 2002 XK8 both of the key fobs will not work. New battery in each one with no effect. I was wondering where the transponder is located and can it be replaced? Not exactly sure what I’m looking for as a part number, maybe a Ford part?
thanks in advance!
Mark

The SLCM is the part that the key fob transmits to.

The TRANSPONDER is what the KEY (RFID) connects with.

The transmitters may not be configured?
The transmitters might have faulty button contacts?

I have a keyfob receiver that I bought online to determine if the transmitters are putting out a signal and what frequency.
Many auto parts stores have this service so you can see if the transmitter or car is at fault.
