key for not working 1998 xk8 x100
I have 3 key fobs that were working, then 2 stopped and the third was intermittent, now none work. I can get the learning mode to work on the car, but none of the fobs respond. I did clean the contacts, used the button restore compound, but now nothing. Is there a separate fuse for the fob antenna or is it powered from the security module? Any advice, will the IDS system detect problem?

There is a recent thread on this. You need to check your remotes have the correct batteries (2 per fob, not 1) and the aerial:-

Edited to add: check fuse 10 in the boot fuse box. If your fuel flap release button or boot release button on the dashboard work then your security and locking module is working.

Read this cleaning process and see if it helps.

Also try to reprogram the remote to the car.

Thanks, I have already done all of those steps, correct batteries, cleaning contacts, using button restore paste on rubber buttons, all 3 were working at one point, and now none work....I think there is an issue with the key fob antenna, if all else fails maybe do a little sage smudge.....1998 xk8 convertible....
