Default Kitty at Le Mans Classic, France

Hi Guys
Just back from the Le Mans Classic with Kitty and a bunch of Cobra enthusiasts, thought I would share a link to the parade laps we did around the circuit the morning of the race. A bit pedestrian but an interesting view in the rain!!

Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the video. Why didn't you have a little bit of video of your car?

Hi tberg
Yes I should have done some car vid, just didn't think at the time, a mate of mine in a 289 Cobra was waiving his gopro on a stick around so will see what he got and add it later. Here are some stills of Kitty, I put the white viper stripes on for the weekend and got quite attached to them, what do you think.Kitty at Le Mans Classic, France-image.jpg

I like those two stripes.

Do you have any other photos?

Two smaller stripes vs. the single (looks like a single in your solo pic) would look better IMHO.

What I really like it the Lemans badge above the license plate. Excellent.

OK, see the 2nd pic now and it is indeed two stripes. Much better.

Great fun! What was that green (?) car with the yellow stripe, in front of you at start? A TVR?

Yep the stripes look very cool!

I think you should continue the stripes to the bottom of the front bumper and leave the rear exactly how it is now.

It looks like the gap between the stripes gets narrow at the front of the hood.

Take a look at XKRacer's stripe in this thread;

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-coupe-112888/

I like this better than the split stripe.

How fast did you get up to on the track? Looks like you broke loose a little just after the start.

Great stuff, Alan! Very interesting to watch the real Euro scene over there at the best circuit in the world- the end especially. Looks like a great time full stop.

Hi Jandreu
We managed 110mph on the long straight before having to slow, very wet and slippy , not impressed with the Hankooks at the rear!!

Alan,

Looks like a lot of fun and nowhere near as crowded on the parade laps as I'd expected.

It was a lot sunnier day when I took this on the Mulsanne Straight a few years ago.

I doubt the local Gendarmerie are as understanding on the days when it's an open public road as they used to be!
