Default Leak under 03 XKR

I am seeing leaking under the car. About an arms length from the back of the front rear tire. Its a small drip leak.

Lights yellow under UV.

Pics below. Thoughts appreciated.

dsd, when the engine is cool, reach under the throttle body and feel each hose, or use
a mirror to see if that is the problem. I had one that needed a better clamp on it. Use needle nose to slip the old spring clap down the hose and add a screw type after opening it up to install. There is also a connection on the passenger side near the block.
Hope it's not the valley hoses.
Use a pressure tester or get the auto parts store to check it.

I know this sounds dumb, but it's coolant, not transmission fluid?

Coolant would make sense as it's orange and I used a dye pack (but since been flushed) that was yellow.

I also have have a much smaller drip behind the front tire (mid front) that's much less.

dsd, Yeah, that is what I see. The transmission fluid would have a red tent.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
If the leak behind the tire is the right side, that would be the overflow tank in that area, behind the inter fender cover.
Have you seen any signs of overheating?

Wayne, thanks.

No signs of overheating. The car runs great. The reservoir is new and so are a ton of hoses. I'll report back after more investigation. I'm relieved that it's not ATF.

That is good news.
Might just be a clamp that needs some attention.

Not to mean to add to your list, but I believe that the big inspection hole in the bell housing is normally blocked with a rubber plug. I can't see any good coming from leaving this open to the elements.

And it's probably me missing something, but is your steering rack held with zip ties?

Any idea on a part number for the plug?

Yep. That's a zip.

Its ok though cause it was done by a

Dude, that is some crazy engineering there.

At least one side has the correct clamp and bushing.

All fun aside, my car has that zip tie too. His 2nd clamp and bushing is not in the view.

I assume the previous owner spent many meticulous hours finding a period correct zip tie :-)

I assume that's pretty common as I've see it elsewhere.

I wouldn't discount ATF yet as the fluid in the trans is yellow, if original (ZF Gearbox / Transmission Oil. Alternative or equivalent)
To help eliminate it, is the fluid oily or watery?

It's watery but somewhat slick.

Sounds more like Lifeguard 6 ATF than coolant to me....

dsd, is the one behind the wheel and the one under the car the same feel?
Could be a couple of different things.

Both leaks seem to have the same color, feel, and same odor (which is very faint and nearly imperceptible to me). The feel is thin and runny, yet slick and sticky.

You have put three of you five senses to work, feel, smell and sight use one more. Task it.
Sweet is antifreeze, bitter would be transmission fluid.

Oh BTW, spit it out when done.

I'll have to call my auto fluid sommelier to arrange a tasting. Both fluids are new, do they age in the barrel? :-)

It's ATF :-(

2 Leaks. The Trans cooler line and then 1 from the bellhouse itself.

I think I'll replace the cooler line but probably hold off doing anything with the transmission itself. I'll readdress at a later point.

Trans cooler lines replaced and that seems to have cured leak one.

I should have more details on the bell housing by weeks end
