Just noticed that my rear brake light cover has blown off I ordered a new one but was wondering what type of of glue to use

 

Mine was barely hanging on when I bought the car and I didn't think that glue would be the best option. I have used 3M double sided pads designed for holding trim and it's still very secure after 2 years.
