Hi I’m having problems with the roof mechanism on my xkr 2000 ,I had to remove the battery and move aside the roof pump cd changer etc to get some welding work done on the lower wing. I have put it all back and all is fine.when I try to lower the roof,the rear windows go down as they should and I can hear a slight click from the relay but won’t go down. I have tried releasing the hood manually with the Allen key which works but I can’t get it to open more than a couple of inches. Hope you can point me in the right direction thanks Len

 

A bit of a wild guess, but have you checked that the brass tap on the pump is fully closed?
