Wow, what a year. I am feeling better than I have in 4 years. Really turned a corner. New meds eh!!
This year I finally finished the rear seat (tonneau?) cover. I built a fake rollbar years ago and had made a fiberglass cover that I put an imitation carbon fiber wrap on top of.
I decided to pour an epoxy resin beach and had lots of fun doing it. Life's a Beach!
The wind diffuser is 1/4 lexan and I got the mounts online. I live in a remote area so most stuff I get is online.
The wind diffuser works great. My wife doesn't have to wear a hat to keep her hair from blowing in her face lol.

So after a summer of driving the wind diffuser works like a hot damn. Exactly are expected (which is alwyas nice eh)
Out again this year and loving it.
and now for something different
I have been having the suspension bottoming out too easily and I finall got off my *** and decided to do something about it.
It appeared that the top bushing on the front shock mounts were pooched.
Without being able to inspect them I researched what to do about it and came up with a couple of great guys on YouTube that had different approaches.
Being cheap and a DYI guy I went for the disassemble and rebuild route.

The first video was how to remove the shock assembly:
NOTE: I did not take apart the shock assembly myself. I found the idea of compressing the springs too dangerous so I had a local shop do it on their fancy machine. 1/2 hour labour re/re, worth the loot.

NOTE: There are two sources for the parts, US and Australia.(emails are provided in the video) I chooe the fellow from Australia because of the dollar exchange was good. Easy peasy.

Parts fit perfectly and solved the bottoming out issue as the springs and shocks appear to be in good shape after all these years.
The photo shows the old bushing and the new one side by side.
Who knew that small space would make all the difference.
BTW, cost me $150 CDN for the parts, $77 CDN for the shop. Compare that to buying replacement bushings or new shock towers. You might be shocked...I was!
