That is a difficult question to answer without knowing the rating of the hose and the connectors? The existing system reaches 1600psi

Gus, I'm sort of hoping that limiting the pressure to 1000 psi will help the cylinder seals last a bit longer as well as the hoses.

Hello Everybody,
As was predicted, I had a failure as well on the cylinder hoses for the top and am looking at replacing with brake line hoses that have about 6000-7000 psi burst.
Thoughts?

Questions is, the green fluid, Petrosin(sp?) is a power steering fluid. Why not transmission fluid which is used in industrial hydraulic applications? Or standard power steering fluid?
