Got this picture of my car out cruisin' with one of its buddies the other day:



OK, so I'm a Photoshop freak, but does anyone else think they used the XK8 as inspiration for Lightning McQueen in "Cars"?

 

No, but it does remind me of the last page in AutoWeek magazines for body double!

Besides I'd think LM would have better taste than to chase a tattoo toting Porsche. Besides aren't jags ladies? If so wouldn't that make LM a lady

I'll stop there because this could hit the toilet really fast!

I'm going to take a guess here that the background pic was taken in North East Arizona on the Navajo Nation close to the four corners.

The cars are heading WEST on hwy 160 somewhere between the Navajo towns of Tes nez lah and Teec Nos Pos. No?

 

All I can say about the background picture is that it's somewhere near Radiator Springs. Just pulled it off the web Googling "desert highways". Does look like the 4-corners neighborhood though.

 

That's funny because when I asked my 5 and 7 year old about possible names for my XK, their first suggestion was Lighting McQueen. From the mouth of babes...

 

they certainly have a similar smile
