Looking for a picture of stock subwoofer setup. My 97 didn’t have one or the amp. A po added a 6disc changer in the trunk and I just added a Bluetooth module that taps into that. I then replaced all my speakers with new alpine speakers, 6.5 inch 2 ways in rear, and a 6.5 inch component set up front (I put the tweeters in the dash spots but had to run new wires to the radio) it sounds great and crystal clear as compared to the disintegrated speakers I removed but I need more bass. I wanna add an amp and sub but would like to try to make it similar to stock setup as much as possible. Mines a coupe but convertible model pictures welcome just for some ideas. Thanks

 

I may well be wrong but I think that the coupes had the subwoofer installed in the rear parcel shelf. The convertibles don't have a parcel shelf so I suspect that no subwoofer was fitted by the factory. I have a convertible and hence my uncertainty.

Foam is from interior fabric, due for a change, but speaker layout is clear enough.

 

Cool thanks! I have that cutout but there is no enclosure in the trunk of mine. Is there one in yours? Either a plastic enclosure or a mdf box or is it just a free air sub?

 

No enclosure. Speaker is visible from boot/trunk if you look for it. Still have very good bass in my system.

 

The Coupe SubWoofer (Alpine or Harmon Kardon) is a SINGLE unit with dual voice coils so pick a channel or modify for TWO.
