Question low coolant sensor

hi , just wondering if anyone has replaced the low coolant sensor on a 99xk8. i purchased a new one from jag and it looks like it must push into the bottom of the tank because there are no threads just a plain end nipple any tips would be appreciated

Yes - it's a push fit.

A regular issue which has annoyed and frustrated many here. Not because it's difficult to press it into the tank but because the little magnet float is so unreliable.

Check this link for a lengthy saga on coolant level:

There are lots of others.
