Early Sunday morning. Thought I had all the parts needed to change struts (springs as well). Clears my wife's car out of the garage and went to work. Lower front strut bolt would not budge. Tried impact wrench, heat, muscle, and a bevy of four-letter words. I would not budge. About 10:00 p.m. Saturday it got cut off. Now, Sunday, I am having to do the rounds of that Autoparts stores that are open. If you mention Jaguar XK8 alll you get is a glassy stare.

All I can tell you is 12MM and you figure the length. Get the best one you can with a new self locking nut. Grade 8 comes to mind and Lowe's has a good assortment.


Assemble with generous portions of anti seize.
