luggage light
hello , got a problem with my boss's car now the luggage light has stopped working, the weird thing is its getting 12v and the bulb is ok as i tried it on another car and even replaced the bulb! now i am not sure on jags is there someting else i am missing? any help will be great thank you

What your missing is that Jaguar switches the ground!!
In other words 12v is supplied to the bulb(s), the other
side of the bulb(s) goes to ground through the switch.
On my 04 there is a diode just before the switch.

ah right, so could the switch be at fault, where is the switch located, i am a ford person and never worked on a jag before so dont know much about them at all.
i did find something near the battery like some sort of plug, is that the diode you are talking about?
