Mangled antenna!

Mangled antenna!
So I went to NYC for the weekend, and somehow the guys at the parking garage managed to hook the extended antenna mast onto something, and totally overextended and bent the antenna.
How can I tell if the motor needs to be replaced too, or just the $10 antenna mast?
These guys swore up and down that they only moved the car about 20', and there is nothing to hook the antenna to.
I got my suitcase from the trunk when I dropped the car off, and I would have certainly noticed a mangled antenna back there.
The entire garage is under video surveillance, but they said they had to wait for supervisor to come in on Monday to review footage.

Very likely you just need the mast, but an alternative would be to eliminate it. See video below.

If the video does show the parking garage is at fault and they are paying, go for an OE Jaguar mast.
The eBay / aftermarket ones are OK but not as good or long lasting as the OE.

I personally have chosen to disconnect the antenna in mine; with my iPhone I always listen to Spotify. However, I'm assuming you require the antenna to function based upon this thread. So if I may suggest something to prevent future mishaps, perhaps installing a switch for the antenna in your console would be a good idea. Very simple to do, and this way you can disable it when need be, such as when valets park your car.
See the second post of the below thread for a how-to.

The check is in the mail....I've heard that one before, but I'm optimistic.
Body shop quoted $459 for new antenna assembly, installed.
Whoooaaaa, $390 for the antenna and motor, $40 for labor, plus tax.
I just ordered a new mast for $10, and tacked on $9 for shipping.
Hoping this fixes the situation, otherwise I'll just pony up and buy a new motor and assembly with the money from the parking garage.

How about that, I got a check from the garage, and it cleared! First time for everything. So lucky enough, I only had to replace the mast. The motor works fine. However, there is a gap between the antenna mast and the rubber book that it passes through (through the fender). I'm wondering if I'm missing a piece. Looks like a place for rain water to go.
Anybody have a close up photo of their XK8 antenna in the down position? Much appreciated if you could text me a pic 631-806 two one five two.

Looks like you are missing the antenna ball nut which fit on top of the grommet to finish it off & make a good seal. Follow this link:

I think the entire motor assembly must have been pulled up an inch or so. You can see my antenna nut is too high, showing off the black tube the mast slides into.
I'll take a look in the trunk and see if I can loosen the motor mount, and slide it back down to push the exterior nut up tight to the rubber boot and make it water tight.

I've got the antenna nut, it's just up to high.
