maxbore TB?

maxbore throttle body?
My part load breather is damaged (again). I remember from last time that I have to take off the TB to replace it. Will I see any benefit if I send the TB to maxbore while I have it off. I know that I should get the intake manifold done as well to get the full effect, but I do not want to remove the intake manifold since it is a little more difficult with the supercharged versions.
I can pull off the TB and intake elbow pretty easily. Would it be worth it to send the TB to maxbore and maybe have a local machine shop port and polish the elbow. Or is this a waste of time if I don't do the intake manifold along with it?
It is stock, but I plan on doing the lower pulley in the near future.

Have used Maxbore on two cars- great work and great turn-around service.
As for porting & polishing your intake elbow my sense and experience is not to expect a large power gain. BUT, if you find that your TB/intake match after Maxbore has a protruding lip because the larger Maxbored TB, then by all means "match" this intake port. Same with where the elbow meets the intake manifold. "Porting" and "polishing" are two different procedures. Porting is the enlargement of the port; and polishing is just polishing. Porting is more expensive and can be easily botched. Porting is most effective in a cylinder head intake tract where there are well-known restrictions that can be removed. Suggest you do your own independent research on airflow. Suggest "Forced Induction Performance Tuning" by A. Graham Bell. Bell is a Brit.

Prince, I think you might be referring to "proven power" in Tampa. I cannot find a website for "proven performance". Proven power does do throttle bodies, but I have not found any mention of them doing any throttle bodies for a Jag. I will call them and maxbore next week.
I have been a little busy working out the kinks on a 98 XJ8 I picked up off of craigslist last week for $1400. When I called my insurance broker to add the XJ8 his assistant ran the VIN and said something like "What a surprise, another Jaguar" (3 of my cars on the policy are Jags)

But that has changed now!
I have asked if Maxbore could go further than 78mm on these 4.2's, and possibly re-sleeve, so have send him one again. And the good news is he was able to, he can go to 82mm now! I will recieve the 1st one in 1 a week or so.
