Maybe I should have pulled the engine?

(I'm just being a smart-a**) - See that thing around the engine? That's the engine bay, and that thing around the engine bay? That's the body. Now, see that shiny thing above the engine bay towards the rear of the car? That's the windshield. Below that is the fire wall, and tucked wa-aa-ay underneath that is the transmission. Surrounding that transmission there are a number of bolts that hold the engine and transmission together. Some of those bolts...are on top of the transmission. Had you decided to remove the engine at the beginning of the project, you wouldn't be as far into the job as you are, and, you'd still be swearing profusely even as you read this. Think about it...transmission, exhaust disconnect, brake lines (for clearance), engine mounts, coolant lines, employ an engine hoist, seventy five thousand wires to move or disconnect (remove jag wiring...hmmmm, there's a reason to make reservations at the local loony-bin right there), mandatory swearing every 3 minutes. THEN, reverse everything you took apart, kneel and pray to the Jag engineers that everything will start up and run...
