Thumbs up Mine, all mine!

I went the bank and paid the balance of my loan, so the Jag is officially all mine!

Spot on Keith.

Now, I suppose that an XKR is on the cards.

Oh, I've been tempted several times, but it would be tough to give up this car in such perfect shape knowing all of its past. Some day I might jump up to a '06 XKR, but I'm keeping this one for a while.

Yes, I have a 2000 XK8 conv and I feel the same way. After doing those necessary things you get attached to the little Kitty Car. Maybe a 05 or o6 XK8 in the future.

Congratulations!

You can enjoy being free of the payment for a while at least, until you get tempted.

Congrats. Watch out for racoons and vengeful co-workers and you should be OK.

Keith,

As you get older you'll find it gets easier to pay for cars outright. Only trouble is, everything else gets more difficult!

Way to go Keith. I was in the same boat as you and had my 2001 XK8 for two years, but got the itch for a XKR and just bought one. I will be selling my XK8 this April to some lucky buyer, as the car is in beautiful shape with low miles and all the options. If I had a bigger garage I would keep both cars.

Congratulations, Keith! My favorite kind of car, for some time, has been Paid For. I've now added the XKR to my favorites.

Congrats, Keith. I agree that buying vehicles with 100% cash is the only way to go. I refuse to take out ANY loan, regardless of how good the terms may look, on any declining asset. And whether we care to admit it or not, cars are declining assets....
