Default misc codes

Last night as I was leaving work, the car stalled when I started her up, but immediately fired up when I tired a second time and idled normally. On the way home I had a random restricted performance (had happened a few other times over past 2 months but just less than 5 second message no other indications - this one lasted about 15sec) immediately followed by CEL.

Stopped at 2 auto zones and an Advance to have code read but none were able to pull codes. The car drove fine - no noise, sluggishness or any indication of issues.

I drove to work so I could stop and have the codes read at another place and one the way to have read - the CEL cleared.

Had codes pulled anyway ending up with 300 through 307 (random misfires) and a 1316 - excess exhaust emission

Good thing for JTIS and forum as I plan to investigate this weekend.

Good luck and keep us posted!

My coupe has been in the shop for some body refinement and paint...gone for four weeks now, and probably another three weeks until I get it back. I miss that car...I wouldn't mind chasing a code or two this weekend!

ouch - I'd go nuts having to go that long without driving the Jag - but looking at a repaint in the spring so may be without her for a week or 2 but that is about all I can deal with driving the daughter's Smart car!!

Steve
What happened with the codes found on this thread
0301-0307 and 1316?
I am experiencing similar codes
1316 and 0301 0303 0304 0305 0306.
I seem to have no presure at schrader valve.
Is this fuel pump / filter related?

Juan, sorry didn't see this the other day - I cleared the codes and the only ones to return were the misfires. Coils were original so I ended up replacing coils and plugs - no more misfires -

now I just get an occasional lean on banks 1/2 that I need to sort. I have a new filter and pump so will start there when time allows

If you have no pressure at the Schrader - I'd check filter and/or pump. Don't you have 2 pumps in the XKR?

I am working on a 2001 xk8 with 153k.
Fimally bit the bullet after replacing the fuel filter and driving for a day untill another nostart.
Pulled the pump and found a fried internal wire harness on an aftermarket pump.
Replaced the pump with a jaguar pump and harness.
Will finish later today.
