Default Misfire Woes - UPDATE

Good point. I'm anxious to see what the fuel pressure is. Either way, it goes to the mechanic. Lying on my underneath the car is no longer something I do anymore (77 in 4 weeks!). Ouch.

I did a hard reset and checked the fuel pressure which was between 38 and 42 psi depending on rpm, which is pretty much what it's always been.. Ran the engine and initially got P1646, P1316, P0302, P0304, P0306, and P0308. Cleared the codes and got P1646 P1000 (which I've literally had forever). I know that P1646, upper O2 sensor, has the potential to clog one of the cats, but does it also have the potential to give me the symptoms I now have? And do these symptoms also accrue to a clogged cat? Could it also be a bad ECU?

I'm about ready to donate a kidney and take it to my local shop $$$.

Troubleshoot that O2 code. Usually it's the sensor. The PCM can't fuel properly till it's fixed.

Then give the car a few warm ups (drive a few days) and see what if any codes come up.

You ought to get P1111 like (almost) everyone does.

Also - see what other owners say the fuel pressure should be but to me that sounds low.

The fuel pressure has been in that range since I got the car. I know it's a bit low, but it doesn't seem to affect overall performance. During the night I woke up thinking of something I probably ought to check. I had replace a coil pack on the right bank and now I'm second-guessing whether I might have switched 3 & 4 during installation. A slight possibility, but one that's easy to check. If that's the case, I'll graciously accept the Dufus of the Year award.
